Musiwiz
This was a term project for the "Soft computing" course in my undergrad. The project partners were Deepak Pushpakar, Akshay Mishra, Amod Jain and Anshuman Prasad.
Musiwiz is a program that can searches music files using tone signature detection. Searching for a song is cumbersome - is it sorted by artist? Album? Genre? Have you forgotten the artist/title/album and can't do conventional search? You heard a tune somewhere and want that song?
Musiwiz is a search engine that searches for music files given voice input uses fuzzy logic and compares note sequences, somewhat like what Shazam does (though Shazam did not yet exist when we made this prototype).
